Meed Hmor Dtri Paetch (Sorceror’s Exorcism Knife) – Luang Phu Banya Banyataro

Luang Phu Banya Banyataro has released these meed mor sorceror’s ritual exorcism knives for the ‘Luang Phu Banya 108 years old’ edition.

Luang Phu Banya is known by his devotees (looksit) in Thailand, as the Maha thaera ha phaen din itti bun baramee apinya samabat metta Potisat. This means roughly ‘The great accomplished master monk of decades and revered guru of five regions, with great merits, strength of practice, and supernatural abhinya powers with the heart of a Bodhisattva‘.

The meed mor ‘Dtri Paetch’ is named with the same name of the weapon of Hanuman, subduer and conqueror of demons and enemies; invincible. Hanuman’s main weapon was the ‘dtri paetch’ (trident dagger).

The knife is fully empowered to prevent all dangers, black magic and dark sorcery, possession by ghosts or demons, epilepsy, and all kinds of evil energies and unlucky influences. It chases the phuudt and the phii (phantoms and ghosts) away; demons fear the meed mor ‘Dtri Paetch’.

Dtri paetch also means ‘three gems’ which is an allusion to the Triple Gem of the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha, and uses these three sacred dhammas as the driving force of channeled energy from the Buddhas of all ages.

To bucha this ritual knife properly, one must practice restraint of the keeping of the 5 Buddhist precepts.

You must do good deeds regularly or give alms, and dedicate it to the Triple Gem, and ask for advancement, and protection of the crystal wall of Buddhas to surround you and protect you from all inauspicous dhammas and Maras.

The blade is inscribed with ancient Khmer Agkhara spells on both sides, with extra hand inscription from Luang Phu Banya. Each of the knives has a limited edition code number stamped into it (seen at the lower part of blade near the hilt/handle). The ancient Khmer Pali kata inscribed within, are hidden using the most adept and complex of formulas to encode the kata with root syllables and thus allow the inscription to form the starting center point for a multitude of possible and powerful kata. Depending on which system one uses to read it, the kata changes and remains with meaning, and powerful invocation of elemental forces.

The silver bindings of the handle of the ritual knife has recieved hand inscription of Khom Agkhara spells from Luang Phu Banya. The complexity of the formulas are extremely intricate. This demonstrates to us (through the analysis and explanation of Ajarn Spencer, who noticed the intricacy of Luang Phu’s encoding methods), how truly adept Luang Phu Banya is with complex formulation of sacred geometry of Buddhist yantra. The silver binding has an intricate yantra design inscribed that is incredibly detailed and fine for such a difficult oval curved surface, to perform such an inscription requires the mark of an adept sorceror.

Luang Phu Banya is one of the great masters of Chonburi Province, which is a great compliment, for Chonburi is the heartland of some of Thai amulet history’s greatest gaeji ajarn guru monks.
